The Anantara Bazaruto Island Resort will also see the addition of some unique facilities. The established diving, fishing and other watersports activities will be supplemented by a 9 hole floodlit Qolf course.
Golf is regarded as a brand new revolutionary off-course golf game, which can be mastered by all, irrespective of golfing ability. Similar in style to traditional pitch and putt, but with elements of croquet, Golf is an innovation in golfing technology.
The Anantara Bazaruto Island Resort Golf course, designed in consultation with Patrick Watson, renowned architectural garden designer of the Sun City resort, offers a two tier sculptured purpose built arena around the natural undulating island geography. It will have a unique island feel, including sea sand bunkers, and ocean vista from the tee’s.
The game is extremely easy to master even for children and perfect for groups as a recreation event. The centrepiece of the course is a purpose built entertainment area, adding to the social aspects of the game, and also creates an excellent platform for team building exercises. The Indigo Bay Island Resort course is the first Island course, and the first International course.
The Anantara Bazaruto Resort is also well suited to families. There is a childrens club during the holiday season to keep the children occupied and there is also a dedicated family pool area. The pool area is ideally located as it provides easy access to the beach, the restaurant and the activities centre. Families will be accommodated in two-roomed Deluxe Sea View Pool Villas which feature a private veranda or plunge pool
Anantara Bazaruto can cater for private wedding ceremonies as well as lavish parties for up to 20 guests. Weddings can take place on the beach front or on a dhow boat. Weddings at Anantara Bazaruto are organised by a dedicated wedding coordinator who will see that every last detail is to your liking. The hotel also offers the option of planting a tree or coconut palm with an engraved plaque to which you can return and marvel at over the years as it blossoms.
