Barra has secluded, unspoilt beaches, surrounded by the Inhambane estuary on one side and the Indian Ocean on the other. The lodge is nestled among groves of coconut trees and all rooms have superb beach and sea views.

Location:
Barra Lodge is set in one of the most picturesque areas in Mozambique, with spectacular views of pristine beaches and the crystal clear waters of the Indian Ocean.

Situated 485km north of Maputo, Barra Lodge is accessible by road and is a beautiful drive on tarred road which is suitable for normal vehicles. However, the last 7km's leading to the lodge is a dirt road.
One may also fly to Inhambane, the tarred runways and airports are well serviced. Customs and immigration are available.

The warm Indian Ocean offers safe swimming and strolling pleasure all year round.

Boat launching is easy at Barra Lodge. Barra Lodge often holds game fishing competitions. The largely unexplored reefs lie close to the lodge’s shores and offers an endless pleasure for scuba-diving and snorkeling.
