Casa Rex

Offering travellers a sublime stop-over in Vilankulo. Reminiscent of a gracious era, its buildings encompassed in lush gardens, Casa Rex overlooks the southern-central section of Vilankulo Bay.

Accommodation is charmingly decorated in an individual style with an emphasis in the lounge and dining areas on custom crafted wood furniture and fittings. With bathrooms en-suite, all rooms offer a breezy perspective of the bay. For maximum comfort, airy mosquito nets are hung and windows are fitted with shutters against the occasional rain shower. The Acacia rooms have air-conditioning and internet access.

The Bazaruto Archipelago is made up of several tropical islands and includes some awesome reefs which are home to a diverse array of marine life. As a result there are a host of water sports available in the area including world class deep sea fishing, scuba diving and snorkelling. Activities can be booked through the Casa Rex management (prices available on request).

The renowned a la carte restaurant offers guests a magnificent array of fresh seafood dishes and both local and imported wines. Sip sundowners on the terrace or refresh yourself in the swimming pool overlooking the harbour – the perfect way to end the day… or begin one.

Premium Rooms:

The beautiful rooms offer either single or double rooms with spacious en-suite bathrooms. Some of these rooms offer a terrace and a sitting area where a day bed is placed strategically to show off Casa Rex’s phenomenal views. Extra beds can be placed into these rooms to accommodate families.

Courtyard Honeymoon Suite:

Slip into total relaxation in this room that offers a double bed with an en-suite bathroom and a private dressing area. A spacious terrace leads off of the main bedroom to capture the exquisite Mozambique scenery.

Acacia Rooms:

Offering either single or double beds, these rooms all have air-conditioning and internet connection. A large en-suite bathroom with a shower flows off of the bedroom and a balcony allows for the fresh sea air to flow through into your room.
